Parenting has its ups and downs and that also applies to single parenting, especially during the Holidays. Where many of single-parents tend to go through significantly different court-appointed traditions and rhetoric while everyone else is joining in the festivities.
When a parent divorces or separates from there partner whether by choice or death and they become a single parent where they are met with a barrage of changes. Between a new living situation, changes in finances, the emotional and mental lift of the new circumstances and the expression of pain that many of their friends and family often overlook. This can lead to the newly single parent feeling judged and may deter them from reaching out for help, support whether material or even emotional. Sometimes they are too proud, often the circumstances lead them to feel beaten down where they are too timid to voice their stress and need for assistance.
